Specialized optics provides crisp clear color images in daylight and black and white images in darkness - without the need to refocus. The night mode mechanism of the Day & Night camera, which is becoming a big trend in the market, uses the infrared zone area (700nm -1000nm). So when a standard day time only lens is installed outdoors, the image blurs and needs to be refocused for night mode use.
